Guaberto Herrera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Virgilio Betadur, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Los Osos de Pratto's Oscar Dimas slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Guaberto Herrera. That made the score 2-0 after 30 minutes of play. Guaberto Herrera was a little too slow when Teodosio Gaxan got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 44th minute. The score was now 3-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Depor La Plata's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Los Osos de Pratto had won, even though Depor La Plata had held more of the ball.
