With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dario Egoi prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Agustin Salvidor came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the Lazo AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Agustin Salvidor couldn't finish the play. Cuevameru FC's Dario Egoi proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 23rd minute of the match, managed to save Cuevameru FC from getting a goal against them. An unexpected shot in the 25th minute by Agustin Salvidor got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. In the 29th minute, Lazo AFC's Agustin Salvidor ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Dario Egoi. Dario Egoi yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. Agustin Salvidor was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 41st minute. Lazo AFC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Agustin Salvidor received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Dario Egoi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Justo Paul was the one to do the kick off. Agustin Salvidor sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dario Egoi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Agustin Salvidor in the 68th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Cuevameru FC's zone, Agustin Salvidor stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dario Egoi came out of the goal and Agustin Salvidor tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Dario Egoi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Agustin Salvidor, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Eustacio Argider's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dario Egoi read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 93rd minute of play. Agustin Salvidor fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dario Egoi having to interfere. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Lazo AFC had played much better football throughout.
