Osvaldo Selatse who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 14thth minute tested the skills of Florentino Libertad when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 15th minute, Atlético Folclore's Daniel Abeitia ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Florentino Libertad. Florentino Libertad yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-0. When Ciro Santos came up free with the goalie in the 20th minute, the Atlético Folclore fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ciro Santos couldn't finish the play. Florentino Libertad made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Abeitia in the 70th minute of play.
