Luisito Salvator recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Boca Juniors's Silverio Ignado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ceferino Mel in the 48th minute of play. Disappointed in the 2-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Luisito Salvator fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Silverio Ignado having to interfere. The supporters of Boca Juniors booed when Ronaldo de Assis Moreira was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Generoso Valery didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ceferino Mel's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 56thth minute, Silverio Ignado skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. 68 minutes into the match, Ceferino Mel notched a goal, 2-6, to the right of Boca Juniors's Silverio Ignado. Silverio Ignado was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Ruperto Pedroso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. A hard shot by Generoso Valery from long distance, 73 minutes into the match, got Silverio Ignado's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Silverio Ignado made a fantastic save in the 74th minute, when Ceferino Mel sent off a good shot on target. After 76 minutes, Ceferino Mel made it 2-7 with a short kick to the right side. Boca Juniors's Silverio Ignado tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Ceferino Mel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 83rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Boca Juniors's goalkeeper Silverio Ignado, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 87th minute, Cayetano Bertol hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Boca Juniors's zone, Ceferino Mel stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Silverio Ignado came out of the goal and Ceferino Mel tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Luisito Salvator had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 93 minutes, Generoso Valery mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ronaldo de Assis Moreira and the Boca Juniors players grew even worse after the yellow card. The Boca Juniors fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Ronaldo de Assis Moreira were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
