In the 29th minute Rodolfo Nalo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Antonio Tercero saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Generoso Gaitan during the 29th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Maza's Generoso Gaitan got a free kick in the 29th minute. Antonio Tercero showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Felipe Cordairo in the 31st minute of the match. 36 minutes into the match, Merced's Rodolfo Nalo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Antonio Tercero narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ermegildo Aires made a kick off. Desiderio Argider fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Antonio Tercero having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 56th minute, Felipe Cordairo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Merced's supporters rose to their feet, but Felipe Cordairo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Antonio Tercero breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With an all-out effort, Merced's Antonio Tercero threw himself towards the right post 58 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Felipe Cordairo, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 69th minute Felix Galoer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lino Oso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 96 minutes of play Maza's Generoso Gaitan was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Merced were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
