Gustavo Birjaio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristobal Serapio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gustavo Birjaio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Honorio Horado in the 9th minute of play. In the 11th minute, Honorio Horado hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Osmar Rezende might have been able to make a better finish in the 12th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jonathan Perpinya. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Osmar Rezende ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Saverio Enetz in the 15th minute of play forced S.CyD Santa Rita's goalkeeper Gustavo Birjaio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 18th minute, Vinicio Betadur ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gustavo Birjaio was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. After a rather tough play, Salguero's Victorio Oro got a free kick in the 21st minute. With a little luck, Salguero's Jonathan Perpinya got control of the ball when Osmar Rezende tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Honorio Horado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jonathan Perpinya came out of the goal in the 28th minute to try and stop a shot by S.CyD Santa Rita's Osmar Rezende. But to his dismay, Osmar Rezende quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. In the 34th minute Honorio Horado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gustavo Birjaio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jonathan Crescencio kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. Gustavo Birjaio came out of the goal in the 36th minute to try and stop a shot by Salguero's Honorio Horado. But to his dismay, Honorio Horado quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. The supporters of S.CyD Santa Rita booed when Salguero was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vinicio Betadur didn't get a good kick on the ball. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Osmar Rezende to strike the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Honorio Horado got free with Gustavo Birjaio in the 57th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 57th match minute, Salguero was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Victorio Oro to maneuver through the defense. Gustavo Birjaio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vinicio Betadur in the 59th minute of play. Osmar Rezende struck a weak shot in the 62nd minute. Jonathan Perpinya didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for S.CyD Santa Rita. After having played for 65 minutes, Honorio Horado managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Salguero's supporters crossed their fingers, but Honorio Horado was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gustavo Birjaio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vinicio Betadur in the 73rd minute of the match. S.CyD Santa Rita's Gustavo Birjaio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vinicio Betadur in the 74th minute of play. Jonathan Perpinya made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Osmar Rezende in the 75th minute of play. Gustavo Birjaio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vinicio Betadur, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. 80 minutes into the game, Ladislao Gonzalez was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Salguero's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave S.CyD Santa Rita the free kick. The referee gave S.CyD Santa Rita a penalty, 83 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Osmar Rezende, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Salguero's Jonathan Perpinya. 2-2. In the 86th minute, S.CyD Santa Rita's Amadeo Remir seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Amadeo Remir the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of S.CyD Santa Rita protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Amadeo Remir had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After a rather tough play, S.CyD Santa Rita's Amadeo Remir got a free kick in the 86th minute. Saverio Enetz shot from long distance after 88 played minutes, a shot that Gustavo Birjaio with certain difficulty stopped from going in under the crossbar. Pastor Bastia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 91 played minutes S.CyD Santa Rita got a freekick which was hit by Fermin Joey. Vinicio Betadur struck a weak shot in the 92nd minute. Gustavo Birjaio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Salguero. Saverio Enetz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gustavo Birjaio having to interfere. Gustavo Birjaio was out of position in the 95 minute of play, and Vinicio Betadur capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Vinicio Betadur really showed his touch with that goal: 2-3. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see S.CyD Santa Rita lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
