Honorio Sindo came out of the goal in the 18th minute to try and stop a shot by Nelson's Erubiel Joachim. But to his dismay, Erubiel Joachim quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. After 20 played minutes Nelson got a freekick which was hit by Jorge Abella. In the 24th minute of the match Florentino Quinito shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Feliberto Lartaun showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Freddy Libertad in the 27th minute of play forced el glorioso's goalkeeper Honorio Sindo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Silvio Erasto scored 0-2 in the 35th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Honorio Sindo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Erubiel Belmiro took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 39th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Honorio Sindo. el glorioso's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Amador Porfiro scored 0-3 in the 44th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Honorio Sindo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Amador Porfiro to strike the kick off in the second half. Amancio Duardo kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. The supporters of el glorioso booed when Nelson was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lucas Lordi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Honorio Sindo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Amador Porfiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. Silvio Erasto could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 63rd minute of the match, but Honorio Sindo made a huge save. In the 64th minute, Amancio Duardo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Freddy Libertad received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Honorio Sindo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nelson's Feliberto Lartaun played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Feliciano Cordara in the 69th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Amador Porfiro kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Honorio Sindo. That made the score 0-4 in the 76 minute of play. In the 78th minute, Gonzalo Tohias hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 80th minute of the match Erubiel Belmiro sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Honorio Sindo skillfully saved the ball. Feliciano Cordara's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Feliberto Lartaun read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 86th minute of play. Feliciano Cordara sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 89 minutes into the game, Feliciano Cordara cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-4. Feliberto Lartaun was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Jorge Abella struck a weak shot in the 95th minute. Honorio Sindo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Nelson. Nelson's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
