Santa Paola's Geronimo Eleazar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leonides Artaldo in the 19th minute of play. 20 minutes into the match, Santa Paola's goal looked a bit too open when Filiberto Dantel came free, but Geronimo Eleazar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Santa Paola's Constantino Avellaneda got a free kick in the 21st minute. Geronimo Eleazar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leonides Artaldo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd rose to their feet as Filiberto Dantel kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Geronimo Eleazar. The referee felt a red card was in order, 81 minutes into the game, when Severino Godoy put in a rough tackle. After 83 played minutes, Santa Paola's Omar Bertran shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Dante Eufemio came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Geronimo Eleazar prevented the ball from getting in the gole. MaLuGe's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
