When Blas Henric fell near the penalty area in the 2nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored La Gallardeta Fútbol Club's protests and gave Blas Henric a yellow card for diving instead. Blas Henric hit a great freekick 2 minutes into the match. Jose Dalmu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomás Guarda, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. 5 minutes into the match, C. A. Lanús's goal looked a bit too open when Santos Dominix came free, but Julio Rafe reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. La Gallardeta Fútbol Club's Jose Dalmu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aílton Antunes in the 10th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aílton Antunes in the 13th minute of play forced La Gallardeta Fútbol Club's goalkeeper Jose Dalmu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 14 minutes into the match, C. A. Lanús's goal looked a bit too open when Santos Dominix came free, but Julio Rafe reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 21st match minute, C. A. Lanús was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Geronimo Lluterio to maneuver through the defense. Gaston Aresti kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. C. A. Lanús's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Caetano Saad 34 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 2-0. Jose Dalmu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomás Guarda, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The wind increased when Aílton Antunes made the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd match minute, La Gallardeta Fútbol Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marcelo Gormaz to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, La Gallardeta Fútbol Club's Jose Dalmu got control of the ball when Tomás Guarda tried to sneak it across the goal line. Julio Rafe made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jonatan Pitin in the 56th minute of play. If Santos Dominix had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. C. A. Lanús's Julio Rafe played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Caetano Saad in the 65th minute of play. La Gallardeta Fútbol Club's Santos Dominix got a good chance for a goal in the 67th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, C. A. Lanús's Gustavo Erauso got a free kick in the 68th minute. Santos Dominix took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 72nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Julio Rafe. C. A. Lanús's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 73rd minute, Caetano Saad managed to get in a good position for a shot. La Gallardeta Fútbol Club's supporters rose to their feet, but Caetano Saad was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Julio Rafe breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Blas Henric in the 85th minute of play forced C. A. Lanús's goalkeeper Julio Rafe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 85 minutes into the match, Blas Henric had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Julio Rafe. C. A. Lanús's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Blas Henric was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. In the 89th minute Tomás Guarda shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jose Dalmu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Santos Dominix received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Julio Rafe tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. La Gallardeta Fútbol Club's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
