Leonardo Quilo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Miguel Berdoi having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leonardo Quilo in the 16th minute of play forced Chelco's goalkeeper Miguel Berdoi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 18th minute, Uriel Noe got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 20th minute, Leonardo Quilo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Anselmo Aires's late challenge caught a Monteros's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Anselmo Aires helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Monteros booed when Chelco was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Amador Incendio during the 45th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

Leonardo Quilo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Miguel Berdoi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 65 minutes into the game, Gogo Espiridion cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Arnaldo Paulin was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 71 minutes into the match, Chelco's goal looked a bit too open when Leonardo Quilo came free, but Miguel Berdoi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Chelco's zone, Leonardo Quilo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Miguel Berdoi came out of the goal and Leonardo Quilo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Leonardo Quilo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Miguel Berdoi having to interfere. In the 81st minute, Anselmo Aires ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Arnaldo Paulin was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. Monteros's Arnaldo Paulin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gaston Mederi in the 84th minute of play. When the referee blew the final whistle, Chelco could leave the field as winners, despite Monteros having more of the ball for most of the match.
