When Luis Eguntsenti fell near the penalty area in the 17th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Horcones FC's protests and gave Luis Eguntsenti a yellow card for diving instead. 20 minutes into the match, Monteros's goalkeeper Arnaldo Paulin had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Modesto Segio. Uriel Noe's late challenge caught a Horcones FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Uriel Noe's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Modesto Oliverios read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 46th minute of play. Paulo Confesor hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match.
