Spectators: 6930 (Terracing: 5304, Seating: 1626, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Zacarias Frederico started the match with the kick off. Eliseo Benvido fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tiburcio Iratze having to interfere. In the 10th minute, Vinícius Machado left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The La Mona F.C fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. In the 12th minute of the match Victorino Aimar sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Tiburcio Iratze skillfully saved the ball. Nestor Berasko showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Delmiro Goito, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. After 15 played minutes La Mona F.C got a freekick which was hit by Robustiano Loramendi. When Delmiro Goito fell near the penalty area in the 17th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Quilmes's protests and gave Delmiro Goito a yellow card for diving instead. After 17 played minutes Quilmes got a freekick which was hit by Delmiro Goito. In the 21st match minute, Quilmes was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Isaias Jacindo to maneuver through the defense. Eliseo Benvido received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Tiburcio Iratze tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Severino Su came up free with the goalie in the 28th minute, the Quilmes fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Severino Su couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Quilmes's zone, Zacarias Frederico stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tiburcio Iratze came out of the goal and Zacarias Frederico tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Vinícius Machado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Delmiro Goito in the 40th minute of play forced La Mona F.C's goalkeeper Nestor Berasko to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, La Mona F.C's Mariano Montae got a free kick in the 41st minute. In the 47th minute, Zacarias Frederico hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Delmiro Goito made a kick off. In the 55th minute, Esteban Enekoitz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The corner led La Mona F.C's Bernardino Teyo to fire away a dangerous shot which Tiburcio Iratze despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. When Eliseo Benvido came up free with the goalie in the 61st minute, the La Mona F.C fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eliseo Benvido couldn't finish the play. Tiburcio Iratze stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Zacarias Frederico's shot from short distance in the 63rd minute. When the match clock showed 67 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Zacarias Frederico sped through Quilmes's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Tiburcio Iratze. After 77 played minutes, Quilmes's Isaias Jacindo shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Nestor Berasko came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Quilmes reached it. In the 77th match minute, La Mona F.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eliseo Benvido to maneuver through the defense. Angel Silban kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. Nestor Berasko was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 90th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Isaias Jacindo. Nestor Berasko made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Delmiro Goito in the 97th minute of play. In a very dangerous position, a player in La Mona F.C fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 98th minute. Penalty! Isaias Jacindo shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. Many of Quilmes's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Quilmes may have spent more time on the ball, but La Mona F.C were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
