Clemente Donzel scored 0-2 in the 26th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Vivaldo Pinheiro, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 29th match minute, Deportivo Carlos Bilardo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Apolo Veremundo to maneuver through the defense. Clemente Donzel hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. In the 41st minute, one of Deportivo Carlos Bilardo:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Deportivo Carlos Bilardo. The goalkeeper, Ignacio Firme, was totally fooled by Armstrong's Melchor Ongile, who 45 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. In the 48th minute, Clemente Donzel ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Vivaldo Pinheiro was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-3.

The wind increased when Modesto Oskitz made the kick off in the second half. In the 57th match minute, Armstrong was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Clodoveo Corderun to maneuver through the defense. Isidoro Dalmau's shot from long distance in the 60th minute was not bad at all, but Armstrong's Vivaldo Pinheiro knew what was happening and pushed the ball into his arms just before it hit the right post. After a rather tough play, Armstrong's Clodoveo Corderun got a free kick in the 68th minute. Clemente Donzel scored 1-4 in the 71st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Vivaldo Pinheiro, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 94th minute Clemente Donzel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vivaldo Pinheiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 98th minute, Clemente Donzel fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Vivaldo Pinheiro, passed just outside the right post. When the match was over Deportivo Carlos Bilardo could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Armstrong throughout the match.
