Damaso Martxot didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Millonarios FC. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ruben Gasteiz to make the kick off. Emiliano Ekain received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Bertil Lindsten tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 57th match minute, Palmitas FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jacobo Rodriguez to maneuver through the defense. In the 58th minute of the match Domingos Orlondo shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Damaso Martxot showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The supporters of Millonarios FC booed when Palmitas FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marcelino Padro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bertil Lindsten showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Felix Lluc, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. When the match clock showed 75 minutes, the score became 3-1 when Victorio Filipo sped through Millonarios FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Bertil Lindsten. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Palmitas FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Millonarios FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
