Astor Argider had in the 15thth minute some difficulties stopping Leon Karlo's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Churriaca's Teofilo Peli played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tadeo Madeo in the 18th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mauro Vistruario got free with Teofilo Peli in the 19th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 20th minute Tadeo Madeo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Teofilo Peli saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 24 minutes into the match, Churriaca's goal looked a bit too open when Astor Cordeal came free, but Teofilo Peli reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Emiliano Idacio kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 32 minutes, Gaudencio Oxel put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Astor Argider. The supporters of AGUILAS booed when Churriaca was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Clemente Firmin didn't get a good kick on the ball. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Johnny Van den Driesch couldn't finish the play. Churriaca's Johnny Van den Driesch got a good chance for a goal in the 56th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Astor Argider made a fantastic save in the 58th minute, when Johnny Van den Driesch sent off a good shot on target. 60 minutes into the game, Johnny Van den Driesch cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Astor Argider was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Teofilo Peli showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mauro Vistruario, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. A collision led to Churriaca getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Marco Eguerdi hit a great ball. The audience was convinced that Gaudencio Oxel's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Astor Argider was relentless in the 69th minute of the game. Johnny Van den Drieschs short, quick shot in the 71stth minute got Astor Argider to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Astor Argider made a fantastic save in the 86th minute, when Johnny Van den Driesch sent off a good shot on target. If Gaudencio Oxel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Anibal Juvenal got his second yellow card in the match during the 88th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. In the 89th match minute, AGUILAS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anibal Juvenal to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that Gaudencio Oxel's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Astor Argider was relentless in the 96th minute of the game. When the match was over Churriaca could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than AGUILAS throughout the match.
