Bermejo's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Club Atletico El Chumbaso the free kick. In a very dangerous position, a player in Bermejo fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 10th minute. Penalty! When Alonzo Goizeder came up free with the goalie in the 17th minute, the Bermejo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alonzo Goizeder couldn't finish the play. Fausto Haimar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ismael Costante in the 20th minute of the match. After 21 played minutes Bermejo got a freekick which was hit by Ivan Herensuge. When Alonzo Goizeder fell near the penalty area in the 24th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Bermejo's protests and gave Alonzo Goizeder a yellow card for diving instead. Fausto Haimar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ismael Costante in the 26th minute of play. If Ismael Costante had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 30th minute Leonides Jaunti shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fausto Haimar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Artemio Munio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Melchor Haitz having to interfere. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ismael Costante was the one to do the kick off. 52 minutes into the game, Ismael Costante recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Fausto Haimar. Ismael Costante showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-3. Tiburcio Cidro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fausto Haimar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ismael Costante, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. In the 72ndth minute of the game Ismael Costante who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Bermejo's Fausto Haimar was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 77th minute, Octavio Thomas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 82nd minute, Octavio Thomas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Club Atletico El Chumbaso's supporters rose to their feet, but Octavio Thomas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fausto Haimar breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Octavio Thomas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out.
