In the 29th minute, Bruno Haitz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Escalante's Anastasio Orlanda got a free kick in the 30th minute. Leonel George showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bruno Haitz in the 31st minute of the match. In the 32nd minute, Eduardo Ospin made a precise shot to the right of Eusebio Rolado. Los Simuladores's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. If Bruno Haitz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rosendo Roderigo hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. Hugo Rayman took the ball and in the 41 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Leonel George. Leonel George dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Modesto Vergaray to strike the kick off in the second half. If Ignacio Manilan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 52 minutes of play Escalante's Anastasio Orlanda was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Anastasio Orlanda hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. Ismael Ieltxu charged in rather forcefully in the 56th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ismael Ieltxu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 56th minute, Ismael Ieltxu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 59th minute the ball was on its way in behind Escalante's goalkeeper Leonel George, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Leonel George made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hugo Rayman in the 64th minute of play. In the 70th minute, Eduardo Ospin ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Eusebio Rolado was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-2. Los Simuladores's Hugo Rayman got a good chance for a goal in the 82nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ignacio Manilan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leonel George having to interfere. Los Simuladores's Eusebio Rolado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eduardo Ospin in the 88th minute of play. Bruno Haitz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leonel George having to interfere. Los Simuladores's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Escalante had won, even though Los Simuladores had held more of the ball.
