If Marco Millrick had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 46th minute Gogo Gomez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ciro Roderigo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

Recalde were furious when Teodosio Cresenciano was red carded, 53 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. After 53 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Recalde! If Florencio Eguntsenti had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Recalde's Adrian Beltxe proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 66th minute of the match, managed to save Recalde from getting a goal against them. With his leg Adrian Beltxe managed to avoid a goal in the 87thth minute, when Cayastá's Ignacio Felipillo fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Ciro Roderigo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marco Millrick, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. In the 98th minute the ball was on its way in behind Cayastá's goalkeeper Ciro Roderigo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Cayastá walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
