The audience was convinced that Basilio Solustiano's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Aquiles Paio was relentless in the 20th minute of the game. Flavio Macerio came out of the goal and Bonifacio Lehen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Flavio Macerio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Isaias Rik in the 43rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Isaias Rik in the 45th minute of play forced Pirquitas's goalkeeper Flavio Macerio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Aquiles Paio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Felix Jaen in the 67th minute of the match. Saul Damario recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 68th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 73rd minute Isaias Rik shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Flavio Macerio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 74 minutes into the game, Bonifacio Lehen was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Restelli FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Pirquitas the free kick. Bonifacio Lehen hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. In the 77th minute, Isaias Rik ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Flavio Macerio was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Bonifacio Lehen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Flavio Macerio having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 84th minute, Isaias Rik managed to get in a good position for a shot. Restelli FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Isaias Rik was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Flavio Macerio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Felix Jaen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 94th minute, Oscar Sotil hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Pirquitas's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
