After 15 minutes of play, Palermo's Godfredo Neto made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Faustino Nel was left in no man's land by his defense there! After having played for 19 minutes, Cesar Santiago managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. CALERA ROJA's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cesar Santiago was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Reynaldo Checa hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. Faustino Nel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Reynaldo Checa in the 23rd minute of play. Faustino Nel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Godfredo Neto, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. Mateo Arnau kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. In the 27th minute, Eleuterio Libertad hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Maximus Faith had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. CALERA ROJA's Eulalio Arce got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Faustino Nel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Reynaldo Checa, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. Faustino Nel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Godfredo Neto in the 41st minute of play. Cesar Santiago fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nicanor Firmo having to interfere. Abel Arias hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Cesar Santiago was the one to do the kick off. Segundo Rubio charged in rather forcefully in the 53rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Segundo Rubio the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Palermo's Segundo Rubio got a free kick in the 53rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cesar Santiago in the 54th minute of play forced Palermo's goalkeeper Nicanor Firmo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Godfredo Neto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Faustino Nel made an important save on a dangerous shot by Reynaldo Checa in the 61st minute. Palermo's Nicanor Firmo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cesar Santiago in the 62nd minute of play. After 65 played minutes Palermo got a freekick which was hit by Reynaldo Checa. Faustino Nel was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Amadeo Feliu showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-3 in the 71 minute of play. 76 minutes into the match, CALERA ROJA's goalkeeper Faustino Nel had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Reynaldo Checa. Abel Henry hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. Faustino Nel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Godfredo Neto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Palermo defense, Cesar Santiago kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Nicanor Firmo. The Palermo fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Nicanor Firmo should have stopped the shot. The referee felt a red card was in order, 86 minutes into the game, when Abel Henry put in a rough tackle. Eleuterio Libertad placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! Reynaldo Checa in the 91stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Faustino Nel, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Godfredo Neto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Faustino Nel having to interfere. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Palermo eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
