The supporters of Zuviria booed when Boca Juniors was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Valentin Hodei didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Zuviria getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Alvaro Eladio hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Valentin Hodei in the 36th minute of play forced Zuviria's goalkeeper Guaberto Guillem to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Danilo Gomesano recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Benicio Precioso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Guaberto Guillem having to interfere. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ulises Johans in the 54th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Einar Hauglid saved Boca Juniors from getting behind. Einar Hauglid showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Danilo Gomesano, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. Einar Hauglid showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Danilo Gomesano in the 90th minute of the match. 93 minutes into the game, Danilo Gomesano cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Einar Hauglid was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Zuviria players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
