The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd minute, Anselmo Fresco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 4 minutes into the match, Palomas's goal looked a bit too open when Jonas Eleder came free, but Arnoldo Porfirio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 7 minutes into the match, Emacry's goalkeeper Hipolito Beltran had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tadeo Saturnin. Emacry's Hipolito Beltran played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cleto Sidro in the 8th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Palomas's zone, Cesar Terciero stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Arnoldo Porfirio came out of the goal and Cesar Terciero tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Honorato Gerazan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Hipolito Beltran tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Emacry's Hipolito Beltran played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cleto Sidro in the 13th minute of play. During the 16th minute of the match Anselmo Fresco completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Anselmo Fresco a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After a rather tough play, Palomas's Anselmo Fresco got a free kick in the 17th minute. Cesar Terciero received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Arnoldo Porfirio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Emacry's Romulo Ganix got a free kick in the 23rd minute. In the 25th minute, Celedonio Txatxu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Palomas booed when Emacry was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jonas Eleder didn't get a good kick on the ball. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tadeo Saturnin made a kick off. Hipolito Beltran showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Honorato Gerazan in the 53rd minute of the match. When Cesar Terciero came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the Emacry fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cesar Terciero couldn't finish the play. In the 60th minute the ball was on its way in behind Emacry's goalkeeper Hipolito Beltran, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 62nd minute, Tadeo Saturnin left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Palomas fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. 65 minutes into the game, Palomas's Honorato Gerazan nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Hipolito Beltran made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. Cesar Terciero's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Arnoldo Porfirio read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 70th minute of play. Tadeo Saturnin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 80th minute, Jonas Eleder fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Arnoldo Porfirio, passed just outside the right post. Cesar Terciero received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Arnoldo Porfirio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Honorato Gerazan struck a weak shot in the 85th minute. Hipolito Beltran didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Palomas. In the 88th minute, Raimundo Elija hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Palomas fans cheered their team off the field, for while Emacry had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
