Salvador Ofelio made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Aaron Rameriz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Columbus Crew's Salvador Ofelio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aaron Rameriz in the 23rd minute of play. In the 26th minute the ball was on its way in behind Columbus Crew's goalkeeper Salvador Ofelio, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Columbus Crew's Agustin Erroman got a free kick in the 28th minute. Agustin Erroman kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. Amancio Berdaitz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 35 minutes, Aaron Rameriz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Peguahó FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Aaron Rameriz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Tostão Guedes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Salvador Ofelio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Aaron Rameriz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 42 minutes of play, Peguahó FC's Aaron Rameriz made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Salvador Ofelio was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 47th minute Amancio Berdaitz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Salvador Ofelio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Aaron Rameriz stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Patricio Vimaro blasted a shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Alfredo Fernado having to make a save. Alfredo Fernado showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Romulo Eron in the 56th minute of the match. 57 minutes into the match, Peguahó FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ezequiel Lastur came free, but Alfredo Fernado reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Salvador Ofelio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tostão Guedes in the 61st minute of play. In the 67th minute, Aaron Rameriz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Salvador Ofelio didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 68th minute, which inside left pole to 0-3. Aaron Rameriz had several of the Columbus Crew's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 72 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 0-4 score and a disappointed Salvador Ofelio as he didn't even see the shot coming. Aaron Rameriz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Tostão Guedes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Columbus Crew's Salvador Ofelio proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 87th minute of the match, managed to save Columbus Crew from getting a goal against them. If Tostão Guedes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 90th play minute Aaron Rameriz came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Salvador Ofelio. 0-5. Tostão Guedes struck a weak shot in the 94th minute. Salvador Ofelio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Peguahó FC.
