Blas Sadurni showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jacinto Llope in the 23rd minute of the match. Blas Sadurni took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jacinto Llope, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee felt a red card was in order, 26 minutes into the game, when Rodrigo Loreto put in a rough tackle. After 25 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. MARISTAS RETURNS's Prospero Gaitan got a good chance for a goal in the 41st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jacinto Llope in the 44th minute of play forced MARISTAS RETURNS's goalkeeper Blas Sadurni to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 47th match minute, Racing Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jacinto Llope to maneuver through the defense. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jacinto Llope to strike the kick off in the second half. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 57th minute Prospero Gaitan suffered a foot injury and had to be helped off the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Paulo Olando during the 57th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of MARISTAS RETURNS booed when Racing Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Paulo Olando didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gilberto Bezerra sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cleto Inge's late challenge caught a Racing Club's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cleto Inge helped the player get up and apologised. Gilberto Bezerra scored 3-1 in the 83rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Blas Sadurni, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 88th minute, Jacinto Llope made a precise shot to the right of Blas Sadurni. MARISTAS RETURNS's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-1. Jacinto Llope sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
