Godfredo Rufo started the match with the kick off. After 7 minutes, Godfredo Rufo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Virginia and the MARISTAS RETURNS players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 7th match minute, Virginia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Godfredo Rufo to maneuver through the defense. In the 9th minute, Felix Escobar made a precise shot to the right of Jimeno Ermano. Virginia's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Felix Escobar struck a weak shot in the 13th minute. Jimeno Ermano didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for MARISTAS RETURNS. Prospero Gaitan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jimeno Ermano having to interfere. Jimeno Ermano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Felix Escobar in the 16th minute of play. After 16 played minutes Virginia got a freekick which was hit by Lázaro Jerrald. Felix Escobar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Jimeno Ermano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 22nd minute, Filiberto Nuno hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 34th minute, Cristian Blai left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Virginia fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Felix Escobar recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 38 minutes into the game, MARISTAS RETURNS's Felix Escobar nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jimeno Ermano made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. In the 46th match minute, Virginia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cayetano Montrelle to maneuver through the defense.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Felix Escobar to make the kick off. In the 54th minute, Prospero Gaitan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Blas Sadurni showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Godfredo Rufo, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. When MARISTAS RETURNS's Felix Escobar in the 67th minute got a chance for a shot 67th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Virginia's goalie prevented a goal. Cleto Inge recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 69th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Blas Sadurni showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Blai in the 74th minute of the match. In the 75th minute, MARISTAS RETURNS's Cleto Inge dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-3. After 78 played minutes MARISTAS RETURNS got a freekick which was hit by Felix Escobar. In the 79th minute of the match Cayetano Montrelle sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Blas Sadurni skillfully saved the ball. Felix Escobar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Blas Sadurni showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Godfredo Rufo in the 93rd minute of the match. The Virginia fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. MARISTAS RETURNS were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
