The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jacobo Pinto in the 7th minute of play forced Governo's goalkeeper Eloy Pio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Sporting Nacional's Yorrick Kleiker got a free kick in the 12th minute. Ermegildo Vela recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 12th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 16 played minutes Governo got a freekick which was hit by Maximiliano Eutropio. Gabriel Ermano was a little too slow when Genaro Berriotxoa got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 19th minute. The score was now 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Salvador Santo in the 21st minute of play forced Sporting Nacional's goalkeeper Gabriel Ermano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gabriel Ermano was a little too slow when Jacinto Bernad got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 23rd minute. The score was now 2-0. 29 minutes into the match, Sporting Nacional's goalkeeper Gabriel Ermano had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jacinto Bernad. After 30 played minutes Governo got a freekick which was hit by Arsenio Olivar. Yorrick Kleiker took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 30th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Eloy Pio. Governo's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Genaro Berriotxoa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gabriel Ermano having to interfere. Mats Hedström charged in rather forcefully in the 40th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Mats Hedström the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Gabriel Ermano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Genaro Berriotxoa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Eloy Pio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luciano Ofelio in the 47th minute of the match. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Luciano Ofelio could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 52nd minute of the match, but Eloy Pio made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Salvador Santo in the 64th minute of play forced Sporting Nacional's goalkeeper Gabriel Ermano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 64th minute, Jacinto Bernad ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gabriel Ermano was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-1. In the 68th minute, Genaro Berriotxoa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 69th minute, Salvador Santo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Governo's Salvador Santo in the 82nd minute got a chance for a shot 82nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Sporting Nacional's goalie prevented a goal. After 84 minutes Sporting Nacional's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Ermegildo Vela who took care of the corner kick. A hard shot 88 in the game by Luciano Ofelio from a close distance when the talented Eloy Pio managed to make a qualified save. Governo's players were relieved. In the 88th match minute, Governo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Salvador Santo to maneuver through the defense. In the 90th minute, Jacinto Bernad left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Governo fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 6-1. There was no doubt that Governo were the better team. Governo's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
