The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Governo's Eloy Pio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Braulio Domenec in the 6th minute of play. Rodolfo Santikurtz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jacinto Bernad's shot from short distance in the 8th minute. Rodolfo Santikurtz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jacinto Bernad in the 9th minute. Nemesio Gudesteo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 12th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jacinto Bernad fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rodolfo Santikurtz having to interfere. The referee felt a red card was in order, 16 minutes into the game, when Arsenio Olivar put in a rough tackle. In the 25th minute Braulio Domenec shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eloy Pio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dante Incendio took the ball and in the 26 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Eloy Pio. Eloy Pio dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Nemesio Gudesteo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Salvador Santo kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. 40 minutes into the game, Saturnino Nuno was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Guasuncho's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Governo the free kick. In a very dangerous position, a player in Guasuncho fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 39th minute. Penalty! After 43 minutes, Nemesio Gudesteo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Guasuncho and the Governo players grew even worse after the yellow card. Governo's Salvador Santo got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After the first half Guasuncho were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the match clock showed 52 minutes, the score became 2-2 when Jacinto Bernad sped through Guasuncho's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Rodolfo Santikurtz. Guasuncho's Rodolfo Santikurtz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Salvador Santo in the 58th minute of play. Miguel Eudoxio hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. In the 60th minute of the match Ermegildo Vela shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Rodolfo Santikurtz showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Maximiliano Eutropio during the 70th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Maximiliano Eutropio kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. In the 77thth minute of the game Jacinto Bernad who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Guasuncho's Rodolfo Santikurtz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Rodolfo Santikurtz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jacinto Bernad, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jacinto Bernad in the 84th minute of play forced Guasuncho's goalkeeper Rodolfo Santikurtz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 86th minute, Jacinto Bernad got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Domingo Llanos kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. After 92 played minutes, Governo's Ermegildo Vela shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Rodolfo Santikurtz came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Governo reached it. Thanks to some nice moves Braulio Domenec could shoot a difficult shot in the 96th minute, which Eloy Pio however easily saved by the left post. Governo's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
