The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Abel Vasco took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cayetano Gartzen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Girodias's Albino Furman proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 6th minute of the match, managed to save Girodias from getting a goal against them. FCB's Lázaro Montxo got a good chance for a goal in the 13th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 14 minutes into the match, Emiliano Gilen dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Albino Furman, 2-0. In the 19th minute, Emiliano Gilen got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Bernabe Criston fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Albino Furman having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Girodias's zone, Armando Berriotxoa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Albino Furman came out of the goal and Armando Berriotxoa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 29th minute, Inocencio Tancredo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 30th minute, Emiliano Gilen fired away a shot that was totally unreachable for Albino Furman. The ball ended up just outside the left post, and FCB's manager could be seen angrily pacing the sidelines. Bernabe Criston hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. Albino Furman made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lázaro Montxo in the 36th minute.

Bernabe Criston fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Albino Furman having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Emiliano Gilen in the 54th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Albino Furman saved Girodias from getting behind. In the 57thth minute of the game Emiliano Gilen who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Girodias's Albino Furman was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 58th minute Benedicto Neron shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Abel Vasco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Emiliano Gilen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 62nd minute of the match Astor Dolfo sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Albino Furman skillfully saved the ball. 3-0 became the score in the 65th minute when Emiliano Gilen elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Bernabe Criston struck a weak shot in the 68th minute. Albino Furman didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FCB. Bernabe Criston recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Emiliano Gilen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Albino Furman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 79th minute Lázaro Montxo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Albino Furman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, FCB's Abel Vasco got control of the ball when Cayetano Gartzen tried to sneak it across the goal line. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. FCB had played much better football throughout.
