But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Maksymilian Anszczak couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Gimnasia Pasión booed when Girodias was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nestor Quinito didn't get a good kick on the ball. Benedicto Neron hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. Girodias's Albino Furman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Chafik Rebbab in the 14th minute of play. When Tomas Gipuzkoa fell near the penalty area in the 14th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Girodias's protests and gave Tomas Gipuzkoa a yellow card for diving instead. After 14 played minutes Girodias got a freekick which was hit by Tomas Gipuzkoa. Maksymilian Anszczak fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Albino Furman having to interfere. Nestor Quinito charged in rather forcefully in the 17th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Nestor Quinito the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Gimnasia Pasión booed when Girodias was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nestor Quinito didn't get a good kick on the ball. Maksymilian Anszczaks short, quick shot in the 26thth minute got Albino Furman to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Ezequiel Abadie fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Albino Furman having to interfere. Casimiro Ezkerra showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cayetano Gartzen in the 29th minute of the match. In the 35th minute Ezequiel Abadie shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Albino Furman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Albino Furman was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Maksymilian Anszczak showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 36 minute of play. If Maksymilian Anszczak had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Ezequiel Abadie fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Albino Furman having to interfere. Albino Furman stood somewhat misplaced when Maksymilian Anszczak came free in front of goal and shot 3-0 to the left of him in the 44 minute. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Maksymilian Anszczak stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Maksymilian Anszczak in the 56th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Albino Furman prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ariel Llope sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 59th minute Ezequiel Abadie shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Albino Furman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Maksymilian Anszczak struck a weak shot in the 62nd minute. Albino Furman didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gimnasia Pasión. Albino Furman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Chafik Rebbab in the 64th minute of play. Guillermo Burdisso might have been able to make a better finish in the 65th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Albino Furman. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Guillermo Burdisso ran back to his position shaking his head. After 66 played minutes Gimnasia Pasión got a freekick which was hit by Vinicio Kelemen. After a rather tough play, Gimnasia Pasión's Ezequiel Abadie got a free kick in the 70th minute. 73 minutes into the match, Girodias's goal looked a bit too open when Maksymilian Anszczak came free, but Albino Furman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Maksymilian Anszczak in the 95th minute a chance for a shot on goal. Gimnasia Pasión's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
