The tension between the Chamicó and the FCB players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Chamicó's Placido Abalos got a free kick in the 23rd minute. A collision led to Chamicó getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Ruperto Veremundo hit a great ball. Emiliano Gilen could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 27th minute of the match, but Angel Frederico made a huge save. When Bernabe Criston fell near the penalty area in the 29th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FCB's protests and gave Bernabe Criston a yellow card for diving instead. Bernabe Criston kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. Erubiel Bortzaioriz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Abel Vasco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anibal Restu in the 32nd minute of play. After a rather tough play, FCB's Bernabe Criston got a free kick in the 33rd minute. When Ruperto Veremundo fell near the penalty area in the 34th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. Placido Abalos was shown his second yellow card after 36 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After having played for 41 minutes, Bernabe Criston managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FCB's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bernabe Criston was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 42nd minute, one of FCB:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for FCB. German Santos placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! If Anibal Restu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Erubiel Bortzaioriz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

In the 52nd minute, Anibal Restu reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Abel Vasco. The goal made the score 0-4. In the 61st minute, Armando Berriotxoa made a precise shot to the right of Angel Frederico. Chamicó's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-4. 65 minutes into the match, Chamicó's goal looked a bit too open when Emiliano Gilen came free, but Angel Frederico reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Erubiel Bortzaioriz hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. Bernabe Criston fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Angel Frederico having to interfere. Angel Frederico was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Angel Frederico showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Armando Berriotxoa in the 81st minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Emiliano Gilen's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Angel Frederico was relentless in the 85th minute of the game.
