Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Joel Gonzo kicked off to start the match. In the 2nd minute, Donato Frances left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The BOCA JUNIOR CLUB fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. 10 minutes into the game, Carlos Froylan was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Vela's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave BOCA JUNIOR CLUB the free kick. In the 14th minute of the match Raul Gaxan sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Rene Astrada skillfully saved the ball. Rene Astrada stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Donato Frances's shot from short distance in the 17th minute. If Augusto Ricart had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 22 minutes into the match, BOCA JUNIOR CLUB's Rolando Esdras sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rene Astrada narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Donato Frances had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 25th minute Justino Iratze shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rene Astrada saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rolando Esdras hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. Justino Iratze fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rene Astrada having to interfere. Rolando Esdras recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 39 minutes into the game, Donato Frances cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Rene Astrada was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 43rd minute, Rolando Esdras left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The BOCA JUNIOR CLUB fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4. After 46 played minutes BOCA JUNIOR CLUB got a freekick which was hit by Raul Gaxan. BOCA JUNIOR CLUB's Cecilio Obano proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 47th minute of the match, managed to save BOCA JUNIOR CLUB from getting a goal against them. After the first half BOCA JUNIOR CLUB were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Donato Frances to make the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Vela's zone, Rolando Esdras stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rene Astrada came out of the goal and Rolando Esdras tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 61 minutes into the match, Vela's goalkeeper Rene Astrada had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rolando Esdras. Rolando Esdras scored 0-5 in the 62nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Rene Astrada, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Augusto Ricart had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Donato Frances struck a weak shot in the 69th minute. Rene Astrada didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for BOCA JUNIOR CLUB. A collision led to Vela getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Jorge Orzaize hit a great ball. Rolando Esdras scored 0-6 in the 74th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Rene Astrada, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 77 minutes into the match, BOCA JUNIOR CLUB's goal looked a bit too open when Augusto Ricart came free, but Cecilio Obano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rolando Esdras blasted a shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Rene Astrada having to make a save. Rene Astrada showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Donato Frances in the 80th minute of the match. In the 82nd minute Donato Frances shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rene Astrada saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rene Astrada made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Justino Iratze in the 84th minute of play. In the 85th minute the ball was on its way in behind Vela's goalkeeper Rene Astrada, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Joel Gonzo came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the Vela fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Joel Gonzo couldn't finish the play. Cecilio Obano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Augusto Ricart, who was totally free with the ball in the 97th minute. When the final whistle sounded BOCA JUNIOR CLUB left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Vela.
