The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Leon Bautista made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gerardo Rubio in the 4th minute. Justino Goi made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. In the 23rd minute, Ubaldo Veremundo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Justino Goi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Siro Sergi in the 27th minute of play. 29 minutes into the match, Villalonga's goal looked a bit too open when Gerardo Rubio came free, but Leon Bautista reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fabian Oskitz in the 31st minute of play forced León AFC's goalkeeper Justino Goi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 35th minute, Ezequiel Cordaryal managed to get in a good position for a shot. Villalonga's supporters rose to their feet, but Ezequiel Cordaryal was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Justino Goi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 36th play minutes Siro Sergi shot 1-2, a short shot which went by Justino Goi and just under the crossbar into goal. Justino Goi didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Villalonga's Siro Sergi shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 1-3 in the ordered_time% minute. Villalonga's Filiberto Cordarius got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-3 lead.

The wind increased when Gerardo Rubio made the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the game, Camilo Martxot was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. León AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Villalonga the free kick. In the 54th match minute, León AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Camilo Martxot to maneuver through the defense. If Fabian Oskitz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The León AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Justino Goi should have stopped the shot. In the 63rd minute, Epifanio Rocendo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Epifanio Rocendo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Justino Goi having to interfere. In the 68th minute, Villalonga's Epifanio Rocendo dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-5. The crowd rose to their feet as Epifanio Rocendo kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Justino Goi. That made the score 1-6 in the 73 minute of play. 80 minutes had been played when some careless play by León AFC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Antonio Berasko was slow to take the kick. During this time Villalonga's players had a chance to rest. A well-hit corner resulted in Siro Sergi heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Camilo Martxot kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. Epifanio Rocendo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 82nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Gabriel Timo fell near the penalty area in the 85th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored León AFC's protests and gave Gabriel Timo a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, León AFC's Gabriel Timo got a free kick in the 85th minute. After a defensive mix-up in León AFC's zone, Fabian Oskitz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Justino Goi came out of the goal and Fabian Oskitz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 90th minute Camilo Martxot shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leon Bautista saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Fabian Oskitz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 96th minute the ball was on its way in behind León AFC's goalkeeper Justino Goi, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When the match was over Villalonga could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than León AFC throughout the match.
