Silvestre Francesco blasted a shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Dário Perez having to make a save. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Horacio Shantala to strike the kick off in the second half. If Ciro Gabrio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 56th minute, Baltasar Montrelle made a precise shot to the right of Dário Perez. Febre's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. In the 60th minute, Leonardo Nuñez got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 61 played minutes Febre got a freekick which was hit by Isidoro Rexino. Leonardo Nuñez kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. The corner led Cavanagh FC's Silvestre Francesco to fire away a dangerous shot which Dário Perez despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Ciro Gabrio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dário Perez having to interfere. 91 minutes into the game, Florentino Osoitz was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cavanagh FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Febre the free kick. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 91st minute of the game. One of Cavanagh FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Febre:s goal. Fermin Eder shot the penalty kick right outside the post. Ciro Gabrio's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dário Perez read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 95th minute of play. In the 98th minute, Ciro Gabrio made a precise shot to the right of Dário Perez. Febre's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. There was no doubt that Cavanagh FC were the better team. Cavanagh FC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
