Tegua's supporters rose to their feet, but Clemente Hulberto was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Remigio Endura breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Elpidio Neto's late challenge caught a Tegua's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Elpidio Neto helped the player get up and apologised. In the 6th match minute, SAN LORENZO was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Elpidio Neto to maneuver through the defense. 9 minutes into the match, SAN LORENZO's goal looked a bit too open when Clemente Hulberto came free, but Remigio Endura reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. SAN LORENZO's defense didn't have a chance, in the 12th minute, when Clemente Hulberto scored to the left of an out of position Remigio Endura, making the score, 1-0. Jeremias Tximitx sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 25th minute the ball was on its way in behind SAN LORENZO's goalkeeper Remigio Endura, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Clemente Hulberto to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Octavio Banegas in the 53rd minute of play forced Tegua's goalkeeper Severino Rufio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 55 played minutes, Tegua's Nicasio Abel shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Remigio Endura came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Tegua reached it. After 56 played minutes Tegua got a freekick which was hit by Severo Abilio. In the 57th minute, Domingos Lluques sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Tegua's Severino Rufio didn't even have to move. In the 59th match minute, Tegua was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alfredo Medero to maneuver through the defense. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Florentino Txartiko during the 60th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 60 played minutes Tegua got a freekick which was hit by Florentino Txartiko. In the 61st minute of the match Domingos Lluques sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Severino Rufio skillfully saved the ball. In the 65th match minute, SAN LORENZO was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anier Birjaio to maneuver through the defense. In the 66th minute, Clemente Hulberto ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Remigio Endura was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. 69 minutes into the game, Pablo Papo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SAN LORENZO's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Tegua the free kick. Tegua's Patricio Araoz was substituted for Jeremias Tximitx. After a rather tough play, SAN LORENZO's Pablo Papo got a free kick in the 70th minute. Remigio Endura showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Patricio Araoz in the 71st minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Octavio Banegas in the 74th minute of play forced Tegua's goalkeeper Severino Rufio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Tegua defense, Ivan Papo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Severino Rufio. The Tegua fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Severino Rufio should have stopped the shot. When Tegua's Clemente Hulberto in the 85th minute got a chance for a shot 85th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. SAN LORENZO's Remigio Endura played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Patricio Araoz in the 86th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in SAN LORENZO's zone, Clemente Hulberto stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Remigio Endura came out of the goal and Clemente Hulberto tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 97 minutes, Octavio Banegas mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SAN LORENZO and the Tegua players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Tegua booed when SAN LORENZO was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 97 match minutes in a wonderful position. Octavio Banegas didn't get a good kick on the ball. There was no doubt that Tegua were the better team. Tegua's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
