Vásquez AFC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Hector Chan ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Arsenio Hotz almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Vásquez AFC's Nestor Mouricio did a great save. When the match had gone on for 14 minutes, Teofilo Mikolas took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Nestor Mouricio to make any attempt to save it. Damaso Atarratze received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Nestor Mouricio came out and tried to block the shot, but Damaso Atarratze slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 17th minute. Nestor Mouricio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Dalmine. Arsenio Hotz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nestor Mouricio having to interfere. Danny Kendall sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Arsenio Hotz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 32nd minute, Arsenio Hotz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Nestor Mouricio made an important save on a dangerous shot by Danny Kendall in the 34th minute. Nestor Mouricio made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. Nestor Mouricio was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Dalmine fully deserved thier win.
