Gilberto Atauri was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 25 minutes into the match, Tigre's goal looked a bit too open when Primitivo Markel came free, but Gilberto Atauri reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Benjamin Martino took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 30th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Nereo Erramun. Nogolí's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Gilberto Atauri came out of the goal in the 34th minute to try and stop a shot by Nogolí's Vinicio Brais. Gilberto Atauri was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Gilberto Atauri showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Segundo Jaen in the 40th minute of the match. Gilberto Atauri made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nestor Neron in the 41st minute of play. Gilberto Atauri came out of the goal in the 43rd minute to try and stop a shot by Nogolí's Primitivo Markel. But to his dismay, Primitivo Markel quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-7. An unexpectedly hard shot by Segundo Jaen in the 46th minute of play forced Tigre's goalkeeper Gilberto Atauri to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Disappointed in the 0-7 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Primitivo Markel made the kick off in the second half. After 52 played minutes Tigre got a freekick which was hit by Orlando Gonsalve. A hard shot by Emiliano Evis from long distance, 53 minutes into the match, got Gilberto Atauri's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. In the 56th minute, Orlando Gonsalve hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
