Spectators: 6630 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1630, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Roberto Aragones started the match with the kick off. Humberto Faro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Roberto Aragones in the 3rd minute of the match. In the 7thth minute of the game Timoteo Gerazan who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Tigre's Gilberto Atauri was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 11 minutes, Elvio Martino mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Nueva Chicago and the Tigre players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 11th minute, Elvio Martino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Roberto Aragones might have been able to make a better finish in the 12th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Humberto Faro. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Roberto Aragones ran back to his position shaking his head. Nueva Chicago's Severiano Victoro got a good chance for a goal in the 13th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Tigre getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Marcial Maule hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Roberto Aragones in the 17th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Humberto Faro prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With his leg Humberto Faro managed to avoid a goal in the 20thth minute, when Tigre's Roberto Aragones fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 22nd minute, Tigre's Benjamin Martino seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Benjamin Martino the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Tigre protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Benjamin Martino had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In a very dangerous position, a player in Tigre fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 21st minute. Penalty! The referee gave Nueva Chicago a penalty, 24 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Higinio Fidele, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Tigre's Gilberto Atauri. 0-1. Gilberto Atauri showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Timoteo Gerazan in the 30th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Timoteo Gerazan in the 32nd minute of play forced Tigre's goalkeeper Gilberto Atauri to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gilberto Atauri didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cornelio Pacifico went, in the 34th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. 42 minutes into the game, Nueva Chicago's Cornelio Pacifico nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gilberto Atauri made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. After the first half Nueva Chicago were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Timoteo Gerazan made the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Nueva Chicago booed when Tigre was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nicanor Vito didn't get a good kick on the ball. 52 minutes into the match, Tigre's goalkeeper Gilberto Atauri had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cornelio Pacifico. In the 57th minute, Nueva Chicago's Timoteo Gerazan ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Gilberto Atauri. Gilberto Atauri yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-5. An unexpectedly hard shot by Timoteo Gerazan in the 63rd minute of play forced Tigre's goalkeeper Gilberto Atauri to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Isaias Pacorro came up free with the goalie in the 73rd minute, the Tigre fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Isaias Pacorro couldn't finish the play. 75 minutes into the match, Tigre's goal looked a bit too open when Domingos Nataniel came free, but Gilberto Atauri reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gilberto Atauri made a fantastic save in the 82nd minute, when Cornelio Pacifico sent off a good shot on target. Domingos Nataniel recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 83rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Timoteo Gerazan in the 85th minute of play forced Tigre's goalkeeper Gilberto Atauri to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 87th minute Timoteo Gerazan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gilberto Atauri saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gilberto Atauri took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Elvio Martino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gilberto Atauri was out of position in the 92 minute of play, and Severiano Victoro capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Severiano Victoro really showed his touch with that goal: 0-6. The Tigre fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Nueva Chicago were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
