Bonifacio Lidon's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Archie Corbett firmly grabbed it by the left post. Club Atlético Sapukai's Archie Corbett played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rui Figueiredo in the 18th minute of play. Archie Corbett showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Celedonio Orlin, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. Erik Abidal's late challenge caught a Club Atlético Sapukai's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Luciano Orlo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Germain Burgos having to interfere. Archie Corbett was out of position in the 30 minute of play, and Rui Figueiredo capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Rui Figueiredo really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. Atlético Sudamérica Unida's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bonifacio Lidon was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Rui Figueiredo hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. Archie Corbett took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Celedonio Orlin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 80 minutes into the match, Atlético Sudamérica Unida's goalkeeper Germain Burgos had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ricardo Castel. Atlético Sudamérica Unida's Germain Burgos proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 81st minute of the match, managed to save Atlético Sudamérica Unida from getting a goal against them. Archie Corbett showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rui Figueiredo in the 85th minute of the match.
