Victorino Chayo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Evaristo Efren, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 36 minutes, Nicolas Libertad managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cochrane AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nicolas Libertad was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Alejo Llanos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Victorino Chayo having to interfere. A collision led to Cochrane AFC getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Blas Lope hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 48th minute, Thomas Malmberg managed to get in a good position for a shot. Schalke 35's supporters rose to their feet, but Thomas Malmberg was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Victorino Chayo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

Victorino Chayo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Maximo Telo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Zilar Pujana showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jorge Ourente, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. Nicolas Libertad fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zilar Pujana having to interfere. Thomas Malmberg took the ball and in the 86 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Victorino Chayo. Victorino Chayo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-5. If Nicolas Libertad had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Schalke 35 played a much better game than Cochrane AFC and deserved their victory. The Cochrane AFC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
