In the 48th minute of the match Paulo Lizardi sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Igor Martino skillfully saved the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 2-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Joakim Kaxe to make the kick off. Ezequiel Quintyn took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 71st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Romulo Nuxila. Campeon de America's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 74 minutes into the match, Campeon de America's goal looked a bit too open when Emiliano Montez came free, but Romulo Nuxila reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 75 minutes into the game, Felipe Ihazintu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With an all-out effort, Campeon de America's Igor Martino threw himself towards the right post 81 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Joakim Kaxe, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 82nd minute of the match Campeon de America got a corner. Senillosa AFC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Hipolito Txanton ran over to the corner to take the kick. Joakim Kaxe's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Igor Martino read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 84th minute of play. 85 minutes in the game, Joakim Kaxe fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Igor Martino having to interfere. Igor Martino showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joakim Kaxe in the 86th minute of the match. The supporters of Campeon de America booed when Senillosa AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Isidoro Karmel didn't get a good kick on the ball. Joakim Kaxe fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Igor Martino having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Senillosa AFC's zone, Joakim Kaxe stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Igor Martino came out of the goal and Joakim Kaxe tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
