In the 20th minute, Godfredo Medero left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Russell FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ignacio Lano in the 25th minute of play forced Russell FC's goalkeeper Abelardo Hermelando to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Russell FC's Godfredo Medero in the 30th minute got a chance for a shot 30th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. If Dario Perrando had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Cornelio Pudes stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Godfredo Medero's shot from short distance in the 42nd minute. 46 minutes into the game, Russell FC's Godfredo Medero nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Cornelio Pudes made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. The Deportivo Piringundingui players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Russell FC were winning 0-3.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Godfredo Medero stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Cornelio Pudes came out of the goal in the 57th minute to try and stop a shot by Russell FC's Godfredo Medero. But to his dismay, Godfredo Medero quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. Godfredo Medero sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Godfredo Medero's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cornelio Pudes read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 62nd minute of play. Deportivo Piringundingui's Cornelio Pudes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Godfredo Medero in the 67th minute of play. Russell FC's Abelardo Hermelando played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hipolito Gaskon in the 69th minute of play. 76 minutes into the match, Godfredo Medero dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Cornelio Pudes, 0-5. The supporters of Russell FC booed when Deportivo Piringundingui was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Evelio Cruz didn't get a good kick on the ball. The supporters of Deportivo Piringundingui booed when Russell FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Godofredo Franco didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gavino Gregory's late challenge caught a Russell FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gavino Gregory helped the player get up and apologised. In a very dangerous position, a player in Deportivo Piringundingui fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 88th minute. Penalty! The goalkeeper, Cornelio Pudes, was totally fooled by Russell FC's Roman Frechoso, who 90 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. After 98 minutes, Godfredo Medero made it 0-8 with a short kick to the right side. Deportivo Piringundingui's Cornelio Pudes tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The Deportivo Piringundingui fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Russell FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
