The audience was convinced that Adriana Tercero's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cornelio Pudes was relentless in the 10th minute of the game. Adriana Tercero recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 18th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the match clock showed 19 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Adriana Tercero sped through Deportivo Piringundingui's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Cornelio Pudes. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adriana Tercero in the 28th minute of play forced Deportivo Piringundingui's goalkeeper Cornelio Pudes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 30 minutes into the match, C.A. Fenix Plate's Adriana Tercero sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Cornelio Pudes narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Hector Maureo charged in rather forcefully in the 31st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Hector Maureo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of C.A. Fenix Plate booed when Deportivo Piringundingui was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hector Maureo didn't get a good kick on the ball. 32 minutes into the match, Deportivo Piringundingui's goal looked a bit too open when Felipe Cortez came free, but Cornelio Pudes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, C.A. Fenix Plate's Iker Acosta got control of the ball when Severiano Mambru tried to sneak it across the goal line. Adriana Tercero received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Cornelio Pudes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Deportivo Piringundingui's Hector Maureo got a free kick in the 37th minute. Iker Acosta didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Severiano Mambru went, in the 40th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-3 lead.

52 minutes into the game, Matias Atarrabi was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. C.A. Fenix Plate's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Deportivo Piringundingui the free kick. A collision led to C.A. Fenix Plate getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Matias Atarrabi hit a great ball. 55 minutes into the match, Severiano Mambru had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Iker Acosta. C.A. Fenix Plate's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Severiano Mambru was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-3. After 57 minutes, Inocencio Luix mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the C.A. Fenix Plate and the Deportivo Piringundingui players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 58th match minute, C.A. Fenix Plate was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Inocencio Luix to maneuver through the defense. Cornelio Pudes stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Adriana Tercero's shot from short distance in the 62nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adriana Tercero in the 64th minute of play forced Deportivo Piringundingui's goalkeeper Cornelio Pudes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match had gone on for 66 minutes, Adriana Tercero took a quick shot and it went in 2-4 without a chance for Cornelio Pudes to make any attempt to save it. Deportivo Piringundingui's defense didn't have a chance, in the 89th minute, when Adriana Tercero scored to the left of an out of position Cornelio Pudes, making the score, 2-6. 95 minutes into the match, Severiano Mambru notched a goal, 3-6, to the right of C.A. Fenix Plate's Iker Acosta. Iker Acosta was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.
