Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) After a defensive mix-up in Russell FC's zone, Marcelino Txatxu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Abelardo Hermelando came out of the goal and Marcelino Txatxu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Abelardo Hermelando took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abelardo Pinto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 8th minute, Jairo Rito hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Abelardo Pinto came up free with the goalie in the 8th minute, the Trelew fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Abelardo Pinto couldn't finish the play. Victoriano Pagomari recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 10th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 13th minute, Godfredo Medero left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Russell FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. In the 16thth minute of the game Godfredo Medero who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Trelew's Niceto Ritchie was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 23 minutes into the game, Russell FC's Pastor Oliverio nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Niceto Ritchie made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. In the 26th minute Arnulfo Sanchez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Niceto Ritchie saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 31 minutes into the match, Trelew's goal looked a bit too open when Pastor Oliverio came free, but Niceto Ritchie reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Godfredo Medero in the 34th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Niceto Ritchie prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 37 minutes of play, Russell FC's Godfredo Medero made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Niceto Ritchie was left in no man's land by his defense there! Niceto Ritchie showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Godfredo Medero, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. Godfredo Medero took the ball and in the 44 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Niceto Ritchie. Niceto Ritchie dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. Disappointed in the 0-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Godfredo Medero made a kick off. Niceto Ritchie stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Godfredo Medero's shot from short distance in the 51st minute. Pastor Oliverio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Russell FC getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Godofredo Franco hit a great ball. Niceto Ritchie showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Godfredo Medero, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Godfredo Medero in the 65th minute of play forced Trelew's goalkeeper Niceto Ritchie to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Niceto Ritchie showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Godfredo Medero, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. After a rather tough play, Russell FC's Roman Frechoso got a free kick in the 71st minute. 71 minutes into the match, Russell FC's goal looked a bit too open when Claudio Oxarra came free, but Abelardo Hermelando reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Godfredo Medero took the ball and in the 76 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Niceto Ritchie. Niceto Ritchie dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-6. In the 79th minute, Russell FC's Godfredo Medero ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Niceto Ritchie. Niceto Ritchie yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-7. Niceto Ritchie made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pastor Oliverio in the 83rd minute of play. Trelew's Niceto Ritchie played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Godfredo Medero in the 84th minute of play. 85 minutes into the match, Pastor Oliverio dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Niceto Ritchie, 0-8. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Abelardo Pinto in the 90th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Abelardo Hermelando saved Russell FC from getting behind. Niceto Ritchie made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Godfredo Medero in the 91st minute of play.
