Soldevila AFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. alvarado's Cecilio Oliveiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Evaristo Burutzagi in the 22nd minute of play. In the 24th minute Mateo Erruki shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Norberto Pere saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. alvarado's Jens-Åke Cane got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in alvarado's zone, Evaristo Burutzagi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cecilio Oliveiro came out of the goal and Evaristo Burutzagi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 31 minutes into the match, Ismael Donostia notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Soldevila AFC's Norberto Pere. Norberto Pere was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The supporters of alvarado booed when Soldevila AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Freddy Orlanda didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Soldevila AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Norberto Pere should have stopped the shot. After having played for 46 minutes, Ismael Donostia managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. alvarado's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ismael Donostia was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-4 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jens-Åke Cane to make the kick off. Mateo Erruki could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 52nd minute of the match, but Norberto Pere made a huge save. Jens-Åke Cane sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Igor Kismi fell near the penalty area in the 91st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored alvarado's protests and gave Igor Kismi a yellow card for diving instead. The audience thought it was a sure goal in the 95th minute, when alvarado's Gaston Sotil after having done a great run through the defense got himself free with Norberto Pere in Soldevila AFC's goal and fired away a shot, but it missed the goal by a fraction of an inch. When the final whistle sounded alvarado left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Soldevila AFC.
