After a rather tough play, Garcia Neivirt's Clodoveo Iratze got a free kick in the 10th minute. If Amado Unai had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Garcia Neivirt getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Eduardo Pietro hit a great ball. In the 19thth minute of the game Cesar Estevez who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Garcia Neivirt's Hernan Ursino was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Luis Bartuelo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jairo Froila went, in the 21st minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Hernan Ursino showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Baldomiro Darien, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. 26 minutes into the game, nueva alianza's Cesar Estevez nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Hernan Ursino made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. After 35 minutes, Eduardo Pietro mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Garcia Neivirt and the nueva alianza players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 35 played minutes Garcia Neivirt got a freekick which was hit by Eduardo Pietro. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cesar Estevez in the 37th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hernan Ursino saved Garcia Neivirt from getting behind. The Garcia Neivirt players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. nueva alianza were winning 1-2.

Luis Bartuelo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jairo Froila in the 56th minute of play. Rene Calvet struck a weak shot in the 59th minute. Hernan Ursino didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for nueva alianza. Gino Ramalho's late challenge caught a Garcia Neivirt's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gino Ramalho helped the player get up and apologised. Garcia Neivirt's Hernan Ursino played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Amado Unai in the 69th minute of play. Cesar Estevez received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Hernan Ursino came out and tried to block the shot, but Cesar Estevez slotted it home off the left post making it 1-3 in the 79th minute. Luis Bartuelo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Isidro Hechter in the 82nd minute of play. The supporters of Garcia Neivirt booed when nueva alianza was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cristian Gaizko didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cesar Estevez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hernan Ursino having to interfere. Jairo Froila recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Benigno Toribio fell near the penalty area in the 95th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Garcia Neivirt's protests and gave Benigno Toribio a yellow card for diving instead. In the 95th match minute, Garcia Neivirt was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Benigno Toribio to maneuver through the defense. In the 96th minute, Rene Calvet got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. nueva alianza played a much better game than Garcia Neivirt and deserved their victory. The Garcia Neivirt players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
