When Cochangasta's Angelino Piorno in the 24th minute got a chance for a shot 24th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye C A River Plate's goalie prevented a goal. Bernabe Laffitte hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. Rosendo Ebardos short, quick shot in the 27thth minute got Adolfo Koldo to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. C A River Plate's Albano Sal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Angelino Piorno in the 30th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 32nd minute, Horacio Rodriguez managed to get in a good position for a shot. C A River Plate's supporters rose to their feet, but Horacio Rodriguez was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Adolfo Koldo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 40 minutes into the match, Angelino Piorno notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of C A River Plate's Albano Sal. Albano Sal was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Albano Sal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Danilo Froila in the 43rd minute of the match. If Danilo Froila had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half Cochangasta were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Angelino Piorno stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Cochangasta's Danilo Froila got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A hard shot 54 in the game by Danilo Froila from a close distance when the talented Albano Sal managed to make a qualified save. C A River Plate's players were relieved. Albano Sal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Angelino Piorno, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. Danilo Froila struck a weak shot in the 61st minute. Albano Sal didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cochangasta. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rosendo Ebardo in the 66th minute of play forced Cochangasta's goalkeeper Adolfo Koldo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpected shot in the 67th minute by Angelino Piorno got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Danilo Froila received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Albano Sal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Angelino Piorno in the 77th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Albano Sal prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 77 played minutes C A River Plate got a freekick which was hit by Epifanio Liher. With a little luck, C A River Plate's Albano Sal got control of the ball when Danilo Froila tried to sneak it across the goal line. Danilo Froila fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Albano Sal having to interfere. When Rosendo Ebardo came up free with the goalie in the 83rd minute, the C A River Plate fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rosendo Ebardo couldn't finish the play. The supporters of C A River Plate booed when Cochangasta was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Angelo Semeno didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cochangasta's Adolfo Koldo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Horacio Rodriguez in the 88th minute of play. Angelino Piorno succeeded in the game's 91st minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-2.
