Generoso Ulizes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 17th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cevallos's Gavino Raebert played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ruben Buinton in the 20th minute of play. Gavino Raebert showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pascual Paz, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. Ruben Buinton scored 0-1 in the 23rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gavino Raebert, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Pascual Paz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Gregorio Dorio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 38 minutes into the match, Cevallos's goal looked a bit too open when Ruben Buinton came free, but Gavino Raebert reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Feliciano Beti hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ceferino Acosta during the 42nd minute. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Pascual Paz stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Gregorio Dorio could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 54th minute of the match, but Gavino Raebert made a huge save. The crowd rose to their feet as Rivas's Gregorio Dorio slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Gavino Raebert. That made the score 0-2 after 64 minutes of play. In the 71stth minute of the game Generoso Ulizes who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Rivas's Fidel Berdoi was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Christian Havier took the ball and in the 73 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Fidel Berdoi. Fidel Berdoi dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Jorge Abel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Fidel Berdoi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gavino Raebert took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pascual Paz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 88th minute, Christian Havier hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 91 minutes into the match, Rivas's goal looked a bit too open when Generoso Ulizes came free, but Fidel Berdoi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Generoso Ulizes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Generoso Ulizes struck a weak shot in the 96th minute. Fidel Berdoi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cevallos. The Cevallos supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Rivas's performance. The match ended with a win for Rivas.
