Spectators: 6639 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1639, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Angelo Abad took the kick off in the first half of the match. Fernando Gilabert showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gabriel Blasi in the 3rd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gabriel Blasi in the 6th minute of play forced C. A. Independiente's goalkeeper Fernando Gilabert to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 8 minutes into the game, C. A. Independiente's Angelo Abad nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Federico Mederi made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. After 13 minutes of play, C. A. Independiente's Angelo Abad made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Federico Mederi was left in no man's land by his defense there! Fernando Gilabert made an important save on a dangerous shot by Everardo Martxot in the 17th minute. Edgardo Mano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fernando Gilabert made a fantastic save in the 25th minute, when Eloy Oskarbi sent off a good shot on target. Modesto Cresitobalo was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 27th minute. Tonco's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Tonco's Herminio Erasto shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 29th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Fernando Gilabert but with some difficulty. Angelo Abad struck a weak shot in the 30th minute. Federico Mederi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for C. A. Independiente. Tonco's Federico Mederi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edgardo Mano in the 34th minute of play. Jaime Efraim might have been able to make a better finish in the 35th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Federico Mederi. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jaime Efraim ran back to his position shaking his head. Angelo Abad sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Edgardo Mano recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Edgardo Mano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Angelo Abad struck a weak shot in the 44th minute. Federico Mederi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for C. A. Independiente. Federico Mederi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jaime Efraim, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Modesto Cresitobalo to make the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Everardo Martxot notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of C. A. Independiente's Fernando Gilabert. Fernando Gilabert was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. A collision led to Tonco getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Silverio Goi hit a great ball. Angelo Abad blasted a shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Federico Mederi having to make a save. Federico Mederi came out of the goal in the 60th minute to try and stop a shot by C. A. Independiente's Angelo Abad. But to his dismay, Angelo Abad quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-4. After 64 played minutes Tonco got a freekick which was hit by Gabriel Blasi. Angelo Abad sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 71st minute, Angelo Abad made a precise shot to the right of Federico Mederi. Tonco's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-5. After some fancy dribbling in the 76th minute, Baldomero Arixo managed to get in a good position for a shot. C. A. Independiente's supporters rose to their feet, but Baldomero Arixo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Federico Mederi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 77th minute, Jaime Efraim got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 79th minute Edgardo Mano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Federico Mederi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 86 minutes, Edgardo Mano managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. C. A. Independiente's supporters crossed their fingers, but Edgardo Mano was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 90th minute, Eloy Oskarbi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Jaime Efraim had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
