Sebastian Cesario struck a weak shot in the 10th minute. Raimundo Oxarra didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Guatimozín FC. Lisandro Abad's late challenge caught a Guatimozín FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Lisandro Abad helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Guatimozín FC booed when Zárate FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lisandro Abad didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 20th minute Saul Larpe shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Raimundo Oxarra saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Raimundo Oxarra made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Constantino Illan in the 26th minute of play. Leonardo Hibai might have been able to make a better finish in the 29th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Raimundo Oxarra. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Leonardo Hibai ran back to his position shaking his head. After a rather tough play, Zárate FC's Lisandro Abad got a free kick in the 30th minute. Sebastian Cesario fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Raimundo Oxarra having to interfere. Guatimozín FC's Leonardo Hibai got a good chance for a goal in the 33rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Zárate FC's Lisandro Abad got his second yellow card of the match in the 36th minute. The referee ordered Lisandro Abad off the ground. After 40 played minutes Zárate FC got a freekick which was hit by Eusebio Ibañez. Silverio Chap kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sebastian Cesario in the 44th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Raimundo Oxarra prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Raimundo Oxarra showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Herminio Roano, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. Sebastian Cesario received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Raimundo Oxarra tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Sebastian Cesario had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The audience thought a goal was coming when Sebastian Cesario got free with Raimundo Oxarra in the 52nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a defensive mix-up in Zárate FC's zone, Sebastian Cesario stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Raimundo Oxarra came out of the goal and Sebastian Cesario tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Constantino Illan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sebastian Cesario fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Raimundo Oxarra having to interfere. Raimundo Oxarra took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Saul Larpe, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Cesar Telesforo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Arturo Maties hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. Constantino Illan blasted a shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Raimundo Oxarra having to make a save. Zárate FC's Raimundo Oxarra proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 78th minute of the match, managed to save Zárate FC from getting a goal against them. Sebastian Cesario received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Guatimozín FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
