Ernesto Lleir came out of the goal in the 11th minute to try and stop a shot by pulpo team's Edgard Calvet. But to his dismay, Edgard Calvet quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ulf Barck in the 14th minute of play forced pulpo team's goalkeeper Virgilio Jaume to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 20 minutes into the match, Carlos Raphael notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Minacar's Ernesto Lleir. Ernesto Lleir was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 23rd minute, Carlos Raphael made a precise shot to the right of Ernesto Lleir. Minacar's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-4. In the 27th minute Carlos Raphael shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ernesto Lleir saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Minacar's Ernesto Lleir played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carlos Raphael in the 41st minute of play. Tuste Murua received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Virgilio Jaume tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Disappointed in the 0-5 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Luis Gagriel charged in rather forcefully in the 62nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down.
